The main expectation of the consultation was to better and more accurately understand the specifics of writing applications for funding and specifically our weak / strong points when completing them. During the consultation, every one of my questions was answered, the most important aspects of filling out applications and generally positioning oneself in the field were clarified and discussed, and the essential highlights were made. I may not have learned any great innovations, but I received a lot of inspiration, clarity and concrete useful advice. Thank you!

- Giedrė Ivanova (singer)

I needed help to structure possible or necessary steps in order to develop my event series into a self-sustaining, well organised initiative. I had scattered thoughts and wandering experiences in finding funding for the event, so my expectations were quite abstract. Some insights into the application and event communication were completely new. In general, after the consultation, I see the gathering of a volunteer team and the search for funding somewhat differently: no longer as ephemeral and difficult tasks, but as very pragmatic tasks. Much of Giedrė's advice or insight seconded the thoughts I had and the way I see the project myself, and this provided a double benefit: I received validation that I often think correctly, AND I heard STRUCTURAL thoughts, advice and ideas that really helped. Also, I was infected with the feeling that everything was possible, maybe even simple. (And if it's difficult - it can be overcomed).

Feedback

The expectations were as follows - since I am poorly organised, I expected help in organising my thoughts - how can I continue performing when my aspirations have changed dramatically and I am somewhat lost in this. The main thing I got is exactly this - I got help in creating a detailed and realistic action plan. Despite the fact that Giedrė had not worked much with the areas I am now targeting, her advice was quite specific, not generic. My specific needs were taken into account.

The course (fundraising course) was very constructive and in a relatively short time covered the entire process of writing applications at the international and national level. The personal consultation, like the entire course, provided a lot of practical knowledge that gave clarity and saved endless time and attempts. I often got stuck in my applications, using many words, which in itself brought confusion and lack of a clear goal, and after the course, the structure of writing an application became clear. Everything just seems very understandable now and I know where to start.

Giedre is warm and knowledgeable. In just 1,5 hours, she coached me in super speed through all the must-knows and to-dos of selling a fresh new circus show for the first time and how to be professional and consistent as a newly started circus producer. After only one meeting with her I feel more confident and I can't wait to learn more.

- Ronja (circus artist)

After the vision, mission, and values were established (homework assigned by Giedrė), it became clearer to me what and why I am doing, it became easier to choose the projects I want to initiate and participate in. Consultations provides a lot of reflection on the very structure within the organisation, fundraising, and the strategy itself.
